Temporary Bookshop VII
Buro Belén
13 October – 11 November 2018
Looiersgracht 60 is pleased to present its Temporary Bookshop VII in conjunction with ‘Soft Borders’: a major solo exhibition by award winning design duo Buro Belén. In this detailed overview of Brecht Duijf and Lenneke Langenhuijsen’s design practice, materials and physical sensitivity take centre stage. Buro Belén are committed to realising designs for the future. To do so, they employ an intuitive, emotional and physical approach in their work, combining craftsmanship with the latest scientific discoveries.
The bookshop accompanying ‘Soft Borders’ has been organised by Looiersgracht 60 with a view to providing a literary context for those who wish to delve deeper into the exhibition’s key themes. Featured is a handpicked selection of titles, including publications on art, design and philosophy. Also available are a number of books written by several of the teachers and mentors who have inspired Buro Belén throughout the years, including a couple of recently launched publications – hot off the press.
