Embracing multiplicity over fixed meaning, this special presentation brings together the graduating cohort through divergent ways of thinking, making, and articulating experience.
Book launch BODIES OF SLOW TECHNOLOGY

In February, we hosted a special book launch and presentation for 'Slow Technology Reader: A Tool for Shaping Divergent Futures' (2025), the third volume in the Slow Reader Series, edited by Carolyn F. Strauss, published by Valiz in collaboration with Slow Research Lab.

This online archive contains a digitalised selection of the layered posters and pin-ups that still adorn the walls of Looiersgracht 60. As well as offering an insight into the building’s heritage in manufacturing, the makeshift gallery wall provides an intriguing snapshot of a cultural period.

Perhaps foretelling the building’s future identity as an arts centre, this ink watercolour drawing of an Amsterdam canal pasted up on the factory wall, dated January 1977, formed part of the makeshift gallery of images. This typical, breezy Amsterdam scene can be found in the surroundings of Looiersgracht 60.
