Public Research Residency IV: Impossible Bouquet Romy Yedidia 6 August – 3 September 2026
Looiersgracht 60 is pleased to invite Amsterdam-based artist Romy Yedidia as artist in residence for the fourth edition of our Public Research Residency programme, titled ‘Impossible Bouquet’, which will take place in the summer period of 2026. During her residency, Romy Yedidia will open the space to the public, offering visitors the opportunity to follow the development of 'Impossible Bouquet' and engage with the research while it is still in progress.

Impossible Bouquet

This online archive contains a digitalised selection of the layered posters and pin-ups that still adorn the walls of Looiersgracht 60. As well as offering an insight into the building’s heritage in manufacturing, the makeshift gallery wall provides an intriguing snapshot of a cultural period.
Bringing the outdoors in, this anonymous landscape of a lush forest blossoming in spring brought a touch of nature to the concrete walls of the factory. The first day of spring is called the vernal equinox. ‘Vernal’ means spring in Latin and ‘equinox’ literally means equal night. On this day, when the sun crosses the plane of the earth’s equator, night and day are nearly exactly the same length.
