For this year’s edition of Selected, the Gerrit Rietveld Academie and Looiersgracht 60 present the addition of daily ‘Afternoon Sessions.’ Hosted by the artists themselves alongside invited special guests, these informal conversations are designed to delve deeper into individual practice and research interests. Together with the members of the jury, artists and lecturers, we welcome you to join - attendance is free and open to everyone.

How to Develop a Video Installation into a Documentary or a Film?
The impetus Qianfu Ye’s video installation ‘Mice of Rietveld’ arose following the discovery of a half-eaten croissant: “I started to get curious about how many artworks at school had been eaten by mice”. Artists and filmmakers Aneta Lesnikovska,Does it Hurt? (2007), and Christopher Tym, Kiss Me Click: The Visual Album (2017), will also be present at the discussion.
